The Motorfurs Meeting was held Saturday afternoon on the parking area slightly down the road from Maritim. The event attracted approximately thirty vehicles and a good crowd in excellent weather.

A wide variety was presented from customized Japanese sports cars to a couple of Jeeps and one motorcycle. The music from car stereos and occasional revving even drew some curious bypassers to take a quick look. Some owners and spectators had in spite of the warm weather made the decision to arrive in fursuit, greatly delighting especially younger locals and posing in suit with their vehicles. Several Furball Run participant vehicles from the UK were present, most of the other cars being from around Germany, with some participants from Belgium, Sweden and Austria.

Most of the vehicles present were not especially vintage, one slight exception being a 1983 Volvo that drew some considerably nostalgic remarks. The owner had driven 600 kilometers from Belgium without any problems. Some furs put their cars to creative uses: One fursuiter using the air conditioning to cool down and a French team was seen warming up sausages on top of the engine of their Citroen. (hhp)
