"Let Eurofurence Begin!"
To a packed main stage, Pinky hosted this year’s opening ceremonies event with her signature poise and passion. Having introduced Eurofurence’s chairman, Cheetah, and the rest of the senior staff, attendees got their first look at convention’s new mascot Spikey in an animated video produced by BBF.
The smooth talking, fast rapping wolf will feature on EF Prime, Eurofurence’s in-house TV channel. Also featured was the “Bitter Lake” trailer, an all-fursuit movie produced by Shay and EZwolf that will premiere at Eurofurence on Friday night at 7:30 on the main stage.
This year there are 1075 registered guests at the convention, all of who can enjoy and bid on artwork from over 80 artists in the airy 204m2 of space available in the art show. For fursuiters, there was good news from Mystifur, who has arranged “the biggest blowjob ever” for them this year with an expanded range of fans and cooling devices available in the Furbidden City. For those craving their fix for a cute, cuddly or otherwise remarkably specific furry item, both dealer’s dens will open from noon on Thursday for super sponsors and from 1pm for all other attendees.
As a change from last year, Eurofurence will feature live DJs in the Piano Bar, spanning a range of genres to cater to the wide variety of attendees’ musical tastes.
New to Eurofurence this year is the fursuit dance competition, “Enter The Area”, to be held on the main stage at 14:00 on Friday afternoon. Also new is the first “Girl’s Café”, an event for the fairer sex to meet, chat, and plot the overthrow of Western Europe. This event, which is for female attendees only, will be held on Friday night at 8.
